Performance Characteristics of Tecco High-Strength Steel Mesh

TECCO high-strength steel wire mesh (usually also known as TECCO mesh or TECCO system) is a high-performance active protection system widely used in the fields of geotechnical engineering and slope protection.


1. Extremely high strength and toughness

  • High strength steel wire: High strength steel wire made of special alloy, with a tensile strength much higher than ordinary steel wire (usually up to 1770 MPa or more).

  • High system bearing capacity: The entire protective net system (including nets, support ropes, anchor rods) can withstand loads of up to 300-500 kN or higher, effectively intercepting falling rocks and buffering impacts.

  • Good ductility: When subjected to a huge impact, the system can absorb and disperse energy through its own elastic-plastic deformation ("overcoming rigidity with softness"), avoiding brittle failure.


2. Excellent anti-corrosion performance

Gao Erfan ®  (Galfan) coating: Zinc aluminum alloy (5% aluminum zinc alloy+rare earth element) coating is usually used. The anti-corrosion life of this coating is 2-3 times that of pure hot-dip galvanizing, and it can provide long-term protection even in harsh environments, ensuring the long-term safety of the project.


3. Unique mesh structure

  • Diamond shaped mesh: The standard TECCO mesh has a diamond shaped mesh with a stable structure.
